LibreSky uses your Bluesky account. The password is entered on Bluesky’s page, not here.

You stay signed in on this browser until you sign out. LibreSky cannot read the login saved in the Bluesky app, because each site keeps its own session. If this browser is already signed in on Bluesky’s site, the next page asks you to allow LibreSky and usually skips the password. When it does ask, that is your Bluesky password.

Contact

Talks to the Bluesky API. Sign in with Bluesky happens on Bluesky’s page. An AI account you save follows the Bluesky account you are signed in to.

Help

LibreSky is a Bluesky client in this browser. Posts, follows, lists, and chats stay on your Bluesky account. Help is for the whole app. Config opens the settings for the page you are on, the same as the page config beside the plus, and it stays on that page. Chat, Calls, Notifications, AI Assist, and your profile each have their own.

Home

Following is people you follow. Discover is what is happening. Scroll the row for lists and feeds you add. Arrows show when there is more off to the side. The … on that row opens Edit tabs. Remove takes a list or a saved feed off the row.

Profile

Posts, Replies, Media, and Likes use that same row as Home. Feeds, lists, and starter packs you attach sit on that row, and Remove takes one off. The … there is the menu for that profile.

Search

The row under the search box holds For you, Ukraine, the topics you keep, and searches you add. Scroll, and the search box leaves. The row stays. Ukraine shows posts about Ukraine, in English and in Ukrainian. It does not add Latest or Top. Those sit in page config, with the other search settings, for every tab. SociallyDead is on that row with a folder, and opens the directory in a new tab. The … on that row opens Edit tabs. For you stays. Remove takes any of those off the row, and Add puts one back. Add a search term, and give it a name if you want one. Move, then Save, to change the order.

Writing

The mic beside Post, and the mic beside Send in a chat, types what you say into the box. Tap it again to stop. Chrome and Edge can dictate.

The spark on the writing bar asks AI Assist to rewrite the draft. Use this keeps the rewrite. Dismiss leaves your words. The draft is sent only to the provider you picked.

A link on its own as the last line becomes the preview and does not count toward the 300 characters. Delete that line and the preview goes with it. Other links stay in the post and count as a short form.

Top of the page

The LibreSky mark sits at the very left. The menu beside it holds Take the tour, Help, Config, About, and Downloads, and Support development sits under a line of its own. Help is for the whole app. Config opens the settings for the page you are on. About lists The White Witch and Mira's World first, each with a picture, then a list that starts with LibreSky on GitHub, and the same ways to get in touch. A red beta sits next to that menu. Click it for Debug, which keeps AI Assist replies and errors, and for Design view, which outlines the page. Click the beta again to close it. Hover does not open it. A Ukraine flag sits next to the beta. Click it and a door swings open, the same way beta does, with the Ukraine and Russia flags and a link to Support Ukraine. Click the flag again to close it. Hover does not open it. Then the back arrow, the section symbol, and the page name. Home, Search, and the other sections stay in the left sidebar. Support opens the contribution page. Page config sits just behind the plus and opens the settings for this page, on this page. Home tunes the feed. Search sets Latest or Top, people you follow, replies, languages, and sensitive posts. A thread sets reply order. Chat sets who can message you. Calls sets who can call you. Notifications sets which notices show up. AI Assist sets the model. Your profile sets your name and picture. The plus at the right edge is only a plus, and it starts a post. After the page has scrolled, Up sits in the top bar, in the center of the column, in the same spot as new posts. While new posts are showing, Up stays hidden. Up returns to the top of the page. The symbol matches that section in the sidebar, such as the house for Home or the person for Profile. Every page except Home has a back arrow before the symbol. Back stays inside LibreSky and returns to the page you came from.

Chat

The lock on the left of the box opens a direct session. It starts as an open lock. Click it and it closes. The other person locks theirs too. Once the session is locked, that same control sends a photo or a file, and the session stays open for the next one. Click the lock again while it is still waiting, or Unlock, to stop. Both people need LibreSky open. Bluesky chat does not store the file. The browsers try a direct path, public STUN servers on the usual ports and on 80 and 443, then public TURN relays on 80 and 443, including a TLS path. A strict network can still block it.

Calls

Voice and video start from a profile or the Calls page. Both people need LibreSky open. Mute and the camera stay on your side. The time shows once the call connects. Hang up ends it.

Follows

Open Settings and choose Follows to decide whether a new follow rings the bell or plays a sound. Those follows still show on the notifications page. That setting also follows people back and cleans up accounts you followed. Auto follow back can skip accounts that look like spam. Cleanup shows why an account looks off, can unfollow the likely spam, and can follow that batch again.
